Fit Testing
Fit-testing verifies the seal between the respirator and the wearers face.The amount of protection a respirator provides heavily dependent on how well it fits.
Quantitative fit testing uses a machine to measure the actual amount of leakage into the facepiece. This method can be used to fit test any tight-fitting respirator including disposable respirators. Qualitative fit testing uses accepted test agent and user’s senses to test the leakage into the facepiece.

What is Respirator Fit Testing
Fit Test Requirements
- MUST bring mask and appropriate filters with you
- MUST be clean shaven
- MUST not smoke 30mins prior
- Must not eat 30 mins prior
